With Father's Day fast approaching and my sister's wedding anniversary I decided to make these two cards. This one was made using their wedding colours of dark blue and baby pink. The blue was the colour of my bridesmaids dress and the flowers were pale pink. I stamped this wedding cake image onto handmade paper using Paris Dust Memento ink. The flowers are basic grey pink, punched with pearls. I decided to add pinks to the cake with whispers markers and used the beautiful sketch by Jennifer from OCC for this week which is simple and elegant. I also entered the Cuttlebug Challenge as it was Anniversary cards this week.
I followed the blue into the Father's Day card. My Dad will love this verse so I typed and printed it onto handmade cream paper in a Zapfino font which I haven't used before. The background tree image is a beautiful paper from crafty individuals which I love. The theme at CCT is Quotations so this was perfect. I used Mandy's fabulous sketch at Sketch Saturday and rotated it.
